In Network
I am an in-network provider with Virginia Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, United Health Care Student Resources (for UVA students only), and Sentara Health Care Plans. If I am in-network with your insurance plan then you will have a copay, coinsurance, or deductible which is determined by your individual insurance plan. Unfortunately my credentialing with Virginia insurance plans does not extend to Maryland and I am out of network with all Maryland insurance plans.
Out of Network
I am an out of network provider with all other insurance plans and in Maryland. I can provide documentation to submit to your insurance company. Many plans have out of network benefits and you may be able to be reimbursed for a portion of your visits. Please contact me directly to inquire about out of pocket rates.

Ask about your copay, coinsurance, and deductible
Most plans do not require pre-authorization for outpatient mental health benefits but it may be good to confirm this
Confirm whether your mental health benefits are under Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield (some Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans "carve out" their mental health benefits to another plan)
If applicable, you can ask if you have out of network benefits and how much this covers
